Redesign: focus on direct sales and content

SOKOLOV had a functioning website and engaged us to modernize it. The client wanted to activate direct online sales and unite the e-commerce store, online magazine, and brand platform.

Before
Home screen featured just a few items and short company text.

After
We’re solving the key objective right on the home screen; brand, marketing, and sales content interact with each other.

Unique navigation pages

Online stores often implement a single template for main category pages. We used a flexible grid which allows us to build individual unique pages in a common style.

Collections

SOKOLOV makes collections of items with unique styles. Separate page features teasers with looks and key collections items.

Showing items through looks

We show how the jewelry would look on a person, not on a storefront. So the customer can fit the item better. Each look is linked to an item card.

Multifunctional catalog

We used a flexible grid for catalog pages. It allows us to present products in different ways: separately, in galleries, collections, or with additional blocks.

User opens the product preview, sees all of its characteristics, can add an item to favorites or to cart right away. Image №11 - SOKOLOV

Page display is customizable: more products for quick scan or larger images for detailed research. Image №3 - SOKOLOV

Hint for a gift

Accessories from the Favorites can be sent as hints for present to someone’s email. It’s a subtle way to point at things the customer likes.

Orders in brand and partner stores

Users can place orders with delivery or pickup from brand and partner stores. Flagship locations are marked with asterisks to focus customers’ attention.

If cart items are available at different vendors, we display a user warning and split the order into several.

Informative personal account

A personal account page displays purchase history, bonus points and memorable dates. The user can track bonus points, balance changes, and register barcodes from purchases to collect more points.

Brand positioning

We highlighted a section that presents SOKOLOV as a manufacturer. It builds customers’ trust and attracts the partners. Interactive images talk about goods benefits and provoke associating SOKOLOV with exceptional quality.

Brand magazine

Brand has its own magazine that unites company news, articles on accessories, and entertainment materials. We enriched articles with interactive sections with accessories and links to item cards.

We created a website design that unites brand presentation, online store and magazine. We’ve refurbished the checkout and made it flexible: at each step, the user can edit the order and remain on the placement stage.

We’ve suggested a set of design techniques that were further adapted by the customer.
